Plan the right installation
Heated floor layout
Identify the area to be heated and the positions of fixed fixtures, furniture and controls. The system is selected for the actual room layout.
Floor build-up
Coordinate substrate preparation, any specified insulation, heating elements and tile installation so the final levels work at doors and adjoining floors.
Electrical coordination
Allow for the electrical supply, thermostat and sensor arrangement. Electrical connection and certification are undertaken by a qualified electrician.
Handover and use
Keep relevant installation records and follow the selected system's instructions for commissioning, thermostat settings and operation after tiling.
Before work starts
Discuss heating at the beginning of the project. The heating system, waterproofing where required, levelling products and tile adhesive need to be compatible.
